Lithgeek — Lithgow’s Tech Hub
The Tech Desk
Honest technology help for the Upper Blue Mountains, Lithgow & Bathurst
“I’m Not a Tech Person.”
That’s What the Last 200 Seniors Said Too.
Lithgeek has launched a new online booking system for tech training classes in Lithgow — and yes, it’s designed specifically for people who swear they’re the exception to the rule. You’re not. But we’ll prove it gently.
Let’s be honest. You’ve probably said it. Maybe your kids have heard it, your GP has heard it, and now Kevin “Mac” Mason at Lithgeek has heard it from over two hundred people across Lithgow, Bathurst, and the Blue Mountains: “I’m just not a tech person.”
Here’s the thing — every single one of those people walked out of a Lithgeek training session able to do something they couldn’t do before. Check email. Video call the grandkids. Stop a scammer in their tracks. Set up their iPhone without wanting to throw it through the window.
You’re not the exception. You’re just next.
“We promise to speak English, not techno-babble. No homework. No memorisation. No talking over your head. Just practical help, designed around how you think.”
Booking Is Now Simpler Than Ever
For the first time, you can book a Lithgeek training session — group class or personal one-on-one — entirely online, without calling anyone or turning up and hoping for the best. Our new booking system is live right now, and it’s built to be as painless as possible.
Not sure which option suits you? That’s what the shop at 85 Main Street is for. Pop in during business hours, have a chat with Kevin, and we’ll work out exactly what you need. No sales pressure, no upselling on things you don’t need, just a plain conversation about where you’re at and where you’d like to be.

Training Built Around You — Not Around Tech
Most tech courses assume you already know things. They start with jargon, throw acronyms at you, and expect you to keep up. Kevin teaches in the opposite direction: he starts with what you want to do and works backwards from there.
No homework. No memorisation. No assumption that you should already know this stuff. Because here’s the truth — nobody is born knowing how to use a wrench, and nobody is born knowing how to use a computer. It’s a skill, like any other, and it’s absolutely learnable.
What makes Lithgeek different is that Kevin is both a trainer and a technician. He knows how the technology actually works, which means he can explain it in a way that makes sense — not just repeat the manual back to you with more confidence.

Come In and Meet Kevin at the Shop
Sometimes the best first step isn’t booking online — it’s just having a conversation. Kevin Mason has been helping people across Lithgow, Bathurst, and the Upper Blue Mountains get comfortable with technology for years. He’s patient, direct, and allergic to techno-babble.
If you’re not sure which training option is right for you, or you’d just like to ask a few questions before committing to anything, walk into the shop at 85 Main Street. Kevin will have a chat with you, figure out exactly where you’re stuck, and recommend the simplest path forward.
No appointment necessary. No pressure. Just a genuine conversation with someone who genuinely enjoys helping people get unstuck.

Why Lithgow Locals Trust Lithgeek
Lithgeek — known for years as MacMason Training and Repairs — has been part of the Lithgow community since before “tech support” was a household phrase. We specialise in Apple systems (Mac, iPhone, iPad) and Linux, and we genuinely don’t do Windows. That focus means we’re better at what we do, and we know it inside and out.
We also carry out repairs, from cracked iPhone screens to MacBook battery replacements, with a 90-day warranty on all repairs. So whether you need your device fixed or your confidence fixed, we’re the right stop.
